Dating back to 1856, this fine Victorian house has entertained many influential and powerful figures during its time. Of these perhaps Ulysses S Grant is the most notable, he having delivered a speech to the people of Galena from the building’s balcony.
Today it offers bed and breakfast accommodation via just eight guest rooms all of which are individually furnished and named. These include the Franklin Room, The Grant Room, The Roosevelt Room and the Grace Suite.
