The Talbot
Ledbury, Herefordshire, England.
A de facto old coaching inn, The Talbot possesses a heritage dating back as far as the late 1500’s. It offers seven distinct guest rooms, including the Biddulph, Cromwell’s Cupboard, Prince Rupert, The Barratt Browning, Masefield, Massey and Elgar – something distinctly more charming than the average corporate ethos has ever achieved.
While we cannot be certain which famous figures from history passed through its doors, perhaps the most notable significance of The Talbot is that is was the site of fierce fighting between Royalist and Parliamentarian troops during the English Civil War.
