The Old Manor House
Greater London, England
If your preference when visiting London is an out-of-town bed and breakfast, then this beautiful old building is sure to impress. Indeed, few accommodation options within the M25 orbital can boast such impressive historic credentials. And are there any others whose breakfast eggs come from hens living in the garden?
Quite how old the building actually is is difficult to ascertain. Though it is suggested that it is largely Elizabethan, the fact that Henry VII is reputed to have visited suggests earlier elements within the architectural fabric.
Whatever the truth in the claims of royal patronage, The Old Manor House is certainly still a beautiful property that will appeal to the history buff. It offers five guest bedrooms in all (the King's, Apple, Work, Anne's and White), and is well placed for many of South West London's attractions including Twickenham Rugby stadium, Wimbledon, and Hampton Court Palace (all just a few miles drive away). Heathrow Airport is also within easy reach.
