Rollestone Manor
Shrewton, Wiltshire, England.
Although much altered since the 16th century, Rollestone Manor was once owned by the family of Lady Jane Seymour (third wife of Henry VIII).
Indeed, one of the guest rooms bears her name – others include Lady Harriet’s Room, The Cardigan Room, and Sir Nathaniel’s Room; all named after those with a connection to the building. Although we cannot be sure whether Lady Jane personally visited the manor, the house is certainly of historic importance, as borne out by its Grade-II listed status.
Offering 7 rooms in total, Rollestone Manor is ideally located for those intending to visit Stonehenge and other prehistoric sites in the area (the famous stone circle is just a couple of miles away).
Two of England’s most historic cities, Bath and Salisbury, are also within easy reach by car.
