Kempinski Dukes Palace Hotel
Bruges, Belgium.

It might well be of a contemporary nature in parts, but this extraordinary hotel near Bruges Cathedral was built in 1430 specifically for the wedding of Duke Philip The Good and Isabella of Portugal – a fact which makes it more than eligible for inclusion here.
Certainly one of the grander hotels in Bruges (it boasts almost 100 rooms), The Dukes Palace is a five-star rated establishment which features an indoor pool and a spa & wellness centre (features which would have been met with approval from the newlyweds had they been in existence in the 15th century.
The Markt, Groeninge Museum, and many more of this historic city’s sights are all just a short walk away.
