Hazlitt's Hotel
London, England

One will find all the modern comforts expected of quality hotels at Hazlitt’s, of that you can be certain. However, make no mistake, this remains a place where the past is cherished and celebrated.
Hazlitt’s is very much the boutique hotel, not least because it offers just a select number of rooms. Of these three are suites, and include the Baron Willoughby (with carved oak bed and eighteenth century fireplace); the Teresa Cornelys (named after a noted local courtesan of the 1700’s); and The Duke of Monmouth (which extends over two floors).
Of course, while all this will appeal to those who enjoy staying in period surroundings, its primary historic significance is that the place was home to William Hazlitt during the latter years of his life. Indeed, the celebrated literary critic and essayist would no doubt still recognise it, and certainly be greatly impressed by the modern luxuries on offer. Situated just off Soho Square, this 4-star rated hotel is within easy reach of most of central London’s most notable attractions, including West End theatres.
