Dating largely from the fifteenth century, the building was once owned by the First Marquis of Santillana, Don Íñigo López de Mendoza. Indeed, there’s little doubt that he would recognise his former home if he were alive today.
Interestingly, the building even features an original oak staircase reputed to be around 700 years old.
