Perhaps one of the most striking features of this five-star hotel in the Chianti hills is the way in which it revels in its heritage through the names of many of its rooms and suites.
The Duca di Genova suite pays homage to the army officer Ferdinando di Savoia and features his battlefield canopy bed; the Maria Carolina suite is dedicated to the daughter of the former King of Naples; the Napoleon Room contains chairs used at his wedding in Notre Dame cathedral; while the Pope Suite is devoted to the former owner of this exceptional place, Pope Julius II.
In addition to a restaurant, bar, spa and wellness centre, Relais la Suvera also boasts an outdoor swimming pool which is open seasonally.
