Hotel Stern
Chur, Switzerland.
Records suggest that Hotel Stern existed as an inn as far back as 1677, and was probably built to serve the wealth of travellers passing through the town along old trading routes.
In amongst the countless people who must have stayed here through the centuries, several famous names have rested within its walls. These include the American author James Fenimore Cooper in 1828, and the German poet & playwright Bertolt Brecht who spent five weeks at the hotel in 1948.
3-star rated and offering 65 rooms, the Hotel Stern also features its own restaurant, The Buendner Stube.
