The White Hart
Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.
Situated on the Bailgate of the city, the White Hart is a Grade-II listed building located midway between Lincoln’s cathedral and castle.
Although King Richard II is reputed to have been a guest in 1372, we can safely assume that the building in which he stayed was a predecessor of the present White Hart – the English Heritage listing text suggests that the visible structure dates largely from the 1700’s, with later additions made during the 19th and 20th centuries.
Today it offers 21st century accommodation which blends the historic with “modern boutique” via 50 guest rooms. These include Executive Rooms and Queen Suites.
The White Hart features its own restaurant, The Lincoln Grille, and welcomes well behaved dogs on request (charges may apply).
