Passford House Hotel

Set amid 10 acres of beautiful gardens, this 16th century house is certainly a place for those who put a premium on peace and quiet.
Its primary historic significance is that it was formerly the home of Queen Victoria’s private secretary, Lord Arthur Cecil. Alas, we are unaware as to whether Victoria herself ever set foot inside the property, but it would be reasonable to assume she must have done at some point during her reign.
As it is, Passford is certainly a great deal larger today than when Lord Cecil would have known it – the place even boasts a leisure centre complete with indoor swimming pool these days. Indeed, the hotel also possesses a heated outdoor pool for use during warmer months.
Passford House features 55 guest bedrooms in all, these being classified as standard, superior and four poster. Situated just outside Lymington itself, the hotel is on the fringes of the New Forest National Park and just a short drive away from both Southampton and Bournemouth.
