Dating from circa 1700, this little apartment was formerly the property of James Boswell. Indeed, it is said that it was in the existing rooms that Dr Samuel Johnson (a close friend of Boswell) stayed before both men departed for their “Journey to the Western Isles of Scotland” in 1773.
Located right at the heart of Edinburgh’s historic old town, the Castle Snug is just a short stroll from the city’s famous castle itself.
