On the fringes of the Appalachian Mountains, the Colonel Taylor Inn owes its name to the man who built it in 1878. Today the inn offers 4 uniquely furnished guest rooms: the Iris, Rose, Lilac and Magnolia.
Being a four term Congressman, its original owner rubbed shoulders with many of the nation’s rich and powerful. It is unsurprising, therefore, to find that no fewer than three presidents have rested within its walls: Hayes, Garfield, and McKinley.
