Popular with high-ranking politicians, Brown Palace has welcomed Theodore Roosevelt (1905 and 1912), Warren Harding (1923), Woodrow Wilson, Harry S Truman, William Howard Taft, and Dwight D Eisenhower. The latter is recorded as have struck a wayward golf ball in what is today the Eisenhower Suite, leaving a dent visible on the mantelpiece.
The hotel also proved popular with European royalty and aristocrats of the early twentieth century.
