The Albemarle Inn
Asheville, North Carolina, USA.

Every inch the Greek Revival mansion, the Albemarle Inn holds an AAA Four-Diamond Award and offers bed and breakfast accommodation via ten guest rooms and a suite.
While it cannot claim to possess the extensive metaphorical guest books of grand city hotels it still has a place in the history of classical music. After all, it was here that the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok lived for most of 1943, and where he composed the Asheville Concerto. His room is available to guests today.
Unsurprisingly, the building is on the National Register of Historic Places and prior to becoming an inn during the early 1940s acted as a school and a private residence.
