Trerose Manor
Mawnan Smith, near Falmouth, Cornwall, England
Situated only a few hundred yards from the mouth if the beautiful Helford River, Trerose Manor offers bed & breakfast accommodation to those seeking to explore this most pastoral area of Cornwall.
Trerose features only three guest rooms (the French Room, Badger Room and Four-Poster Room), and all are classically furnished and decorated in keeping with an old country house.
The present manor is largely 18th century, but remnants of its predecessor still remain. Once the home of the notorious Killigrew family - seafarers to some, pirates to others - Trerose is owned today by Tessa and Piers Phipps (who have spent the best part of three decades restoring and renovating the property). The Royalist civil war commander Sir Nicholas Slanning was another former owner.
