Hotel Louison (The Aviatic)
Paris, France.
Situated between Montparnasse and St Germain des Pres, it owed its former name of the Aviatic to the pioneers of flight from Issy-les-Molineux airfield who stayed here in 1912.
Its history, though, runs even deeper. Indeed, this is the very house where the children of Louis XIV and Madame de Montespan were raised by the Marquise de Maintenon in the late 17th century.
Three-star rated, the hotel boasts 42 guest rooms in total.
