Barnsdale Lodge. This hotel and restaurant near Oakham began life as a working farm back in the 1700’s. It remains in the hands of the same family, but the emphasis today is less on agriculture and more on hospitality. Lastminute.com |

Rutland might well be England’s smallest county, but it possesses more than its fair share of historic buildings. As such, we feel that we must have overlooked somewhere special to stay that appeals to those of us who love historic hotels and inns. If you therefore know of anywhere that we might not yet have featured, please let us know. They can be accommodation of most types, boutique hotels, country inns, manor houses, castles and bed & breakfasts included. Any information is gratefully received. |
