An exception to the general rule that there are few historic hotels along this stretch of the Mediterranean coastline, La Posada del Mar dates from the XIII century and was given to William of Cardona by James I of Spain in 1243.
Four-star rated, the hotel offers a total of 25 guest rooms (of which 9 are junior suites), a restaurant (the Sal de Mar), and a piano bar.
Valencia is little over an hour away to the north by car, while Alicante is a similar distance to the south. Benidorm is also within easy reach.
